A major convergence of influential figures from the business world, policy-making circles, security sectors, and the entrepreneurial ecosystem is set to take place in Nigeria’s capital this October, as organizers unveil plans for the Elite Brunch Summit 2026. Scheduled for October 3, the event aims to position enterprise development, mentorship, and supply-chain integration as cornerstone strategies for driving economic expansion and strengthening national security.
Themed “Entrepreneurship and Mentorship: Building the Nation’s Future Through Value Chain Creation,” this year’s gathering is designed to empower young Nigerians with practical business acumen, access to experienced guides, and entry points into lucrative markets—all with the goal of generating employment and curbing the social risks associated with youth idleness.
Ambassador Angel Twani, the convenor behind the initiative, emphasized that the summit aligns seamlessly with the Federal Government’s ‘Renewed Hope Agenda,’ which places youth-led entrepreneurship at the forefront of the country’s economic blueprint. She further noted that the event draws significant inspiration from the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI), a nationwide program that extends business grants, vocational training, and agricultural backing to women and young people across all 36 states.
Twani also highlighted complementary government interventions, including the Presidential MSME Grant Scheme and the Renewed Hope Employment Initiative, both of which have widened access to funding, skill-building opportunities, and enterprise development resources.
Beyond government efforts, the convenor acknowledged the instrumental roles played by several parastatals and agencies in advancing youth enterprise. She specifically praised the Energy Commission of Nigeria, under the leadership of Engr. Mustapha Abdullahi, for its work in championing renewable energy ventures and creating green employment pathways. She also commended SMEDAN, steered by Mr. Charles Odili, for its robust entrepreneurship training and market linkage programs for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises; and the Bank of Industry (BOI), for its continued financing of start-ups and youth-led commercial initiatives.
According to Twani, the Elite Brunch Summit is designed to augment these existing frameworks by creating a dynamic interface between aspiring entrepreneurs and seasoned industry leaders, investors, and commercial opportunities. She explained that the platform will serve as a bridge, connecting raw talent with the capital and expertise needed to scale.
In addition to its capacity-building objectives, the summit will also serve as a recognition platform, honoring visionary leaders, corporate allies, and outstanding young entrepreneurs who have made significant contributions to value chain development and job creation across key sectors including agribusiness, technology, creative industries, and manufacturing.
Organizers project that the event will catalyze the launch and expansion of new commercial ventures, generate meaningful employment, deepen corporate-youth partnerships, and contribute to a measurable reduction in youth idleness over the coming year.
The summit’s program will be rich with interactive panel discussions and masterclasses covering a broad spectrum of enterprise development topics. These include agribusiness, technology and digital innovation, creative industries, manufacturing, food and beverage processing, and multimedia production.
At its core, the initiative seeks to foster sustained collaboration among diverse stakeholders while championing entrepreneurship not merely as an economic activity but as a strategic tool for sustainable growth and enhanced national security. By channeling youthful energy into productive ventures, organizers believe the summit can play a pivotal role in addressing both economic stagnation and the social instability that often accompanies widespread unemployment.
