Akure, Ondo State – July 22, 2026 — Sheriff Deputies Limited has reaffirmed its commitment to promoting safer communities through the donation of three traffic control stands to the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) and the Police Area Command, Akure, Ondo State.
The donations, executed under the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme, are designed to improve traffic management, enhance road safety, and support the work of security personnel responsible for maintaining order within the university community and the wider Akure metropolis.
One traffic control stand was donated to FUTA on July 15, 2026, while two additional stands were presented to the Police Area Command, Akure, on July 20, 2026. Both projects were formally commissioned in the presence of university officials, senior police officers, representatives of Sheriff Deputies, and other distinguished stakeholders.
Traffic Control Stand Commissioned at FUTA

The first phase of the initiative saw Sheriff Deputies donate a traffic control stand to the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA). The facility was commissioned at the University’s North Gate by Professor Amos, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), representing the Vice-Chancellor.
The commissioning ceremony was attended by:

The new traffic control stand is expected to improve vehicular movement and strengthen traffic management around the university’s North Gate, contributing to a safer environment for students, staff, and visitors.
Police Area Command Receives Two Additional Traffic Control Stands

As part of the second phase of the CSR initiative, Sheriff Deputies donated two traffic control stands to the Police Area Command, Akure, on July 20, 2026.
The facilities were commissioned by Mr. Komolafe Omoniyi, Area Commander, representing the Commissioner of Police, Ondo State Command.
The event was attended by:
