Eko Hotel & Suites has unveiled a state-of-the-art auditorium named in honor of the late Herbert Wigwe, as part of a major expansion that has more than tripled the hotel’s room inventory—from 54 to 164—significantly enhancing its capacity to host large-scale conferences and international delegations.
The newly unveiled facility is equipped with cutting-edge audiovisual technology, flexible event spaces, and contemporary interiors designed to accommodate a wide range of meeting formats, including executive sessions, product launches, and industry conferences.
Meeting Rising Demand
In a statement, the hotel’s management said the investment underscores the continued growth of Nigeria’s meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions (MICE) segment, where demand for integrated venues that combine accommodation, meeting facilities, and accessibility has been steadily increasing.
The expansion is also expected to ease the logistical burden for organizations planning multi-day events, offering conference facilities and accommodation within the same property—reducing coordination challenges for both organizers and participants.
