Dele Kelvin Oye, President of the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA), is leading efforts to attract international investment into Nigeria’s high-growth sectors during a key global business summit in Germany.
Speaking as the keynote speaker at the third edition of the International B2B Conference hosted by the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DIHK) in Giessen, Oye emphasized Nigeria’s untapped economic promise despite its complex market conditions.
Held under the theme “The World Meets in Giessen,” the May 20–22, 2025 event brings together global executives, trade specialists, and policy shapers from across continents to facilitate cross-border partnerships and unlock new investment pathways.
Promoting Nigeria as a Prime Investment Destination
In his capacity as both NACCIMA President and Chairman of the Organised Private Sector in Nigeria (OPSN), Oye called attention to a wide range of underutilized sectors ripe for international collaboration—spanning agriculture, green energy, technology, housing, and manufacturing.
His address stressed the strategic importance of Nigeria within Africa’s broader trade framework, pointing to the country’s youthful demographic, expanding consumer base, and central role in the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
Describing Nigeria as an economic force with strong regional influence, Oye underscored the country’s potential to drive substantial returns for global investors seeking frontier markets with transformative potential.
Connecting Nigerian Businesses with Global Opportunities
Beyond his keynote, Oye is expected to engage in a pivotal panel session titled “Key Emerging Branches in African States,” where he will join thought leaders and policymakers in dissecting the continent’s shifting trade and development landscape.
The session will explore how Africa’s rising industries align with global economic trends and where fresh opportunities lie for international businesses aiming to expand into the region.
The Giessen conference is being positioned as a major gateway for Nigerian enterprises to build global alliances, explore overseas markets, and strike mutually advantageous deals that could accelerate national development.
High-Level Representation and Africa’s Rising Profile
Notable figures participating in the event include Lai Mohammed, Nigeria’s former Minister of Information and National Orientation; Ambassador Yakubu Audu Dadu of the Nigerian Consulate; Ambassador Azize Diabate from Côte d’Ivoire; and Ambassador Stella Mokaya representing Kenya.
As a respected legal expert and business leader, Oye continues to be a vocal advocate for positioning Nigeria as Africa’s commercial heartbeat, urging for stronger bilateral ties and more sustainable business collaborations.
Organizers and stakeholders anticipate that the summit will open the door to impactful agreements, strategic alliances, and greater recognition of African economies within global business ecosystems
