BOSSA Academy Empowers Over 7,000 Nigerians with ₦100 Million in Free Digital Training, Data, Certifications, and Job Opportunities Since 2020

In a country where financial constraints often block access to growth opportunities, BOSSA Academy is changing the narrative for thousands of Nigerians. Since its inception in 2020, this innovative online learning platform—an initiative of Betteroffservice Advertising Agency—has delivered over ₦100 million worth of free internet data, practical digital skills training, industry-recognized certifications, and career opportunities to more than 7,000 individuals across Nigeria.

What started as a modest mentorship program focused on digital marketing for small business owners has blossomed into a vital resource for students, entrepreneurs, and professionals striving to succeed in Nigeria’s fast-changing digital economy.

The spark for BOSSA Academy came from a challenge observed by Josh Amobi, Managing Director of Betteroffservice. He noticed that many small business owners lacked the financial means to hire marketing experts, yet were expected to compete in an increasingly digital marketplace. Digital marketing offered a solution, but knowledge was scarce. BOSSA Academy was born to fill that gap.

Diverse Learners, One Mission

Originally designed to help small businesses build their own marketing capabilities, BOSSA Academy now serves a broad spectrum of learners:

  • 52.8% students acquiring in-demand digital skills for the job market

  • 31.3% entrepreneurs and business owners enhancing their growth strategies

  • 15.9% employed professionals seeking to upgrade their expertise

By combining interactive bootcamps, flexible self-paced courses, and project-driven learning, BOSSA ensures participants gain skills they can immediately apply—whether to scale a business, secure employment, or launch freelancing careers.

Measurable Impact and Future Vision

The results speak volumes. BOSSA graduates have successfully started new ventures, expanded their customer base, landed digital roles, and flourished as freelancers in competitive sectors.

Looking ahead, BOSSA Academy aims to expand its reach dramatically, targeting to train 50,000 Nigerians by 2027. This ambitious goal is grounded in a solid track record and a community-driven approach.

To achieve this vision, BOSSA is actively seeking partnerships with sponsors, development agencies, corporations, and government bodies committed to widening access to digital education throughout Africa.

Leadership Rooted in Experience and Purpose

At the helm is Josh Amobi, a seasoned digital marketing strategist with over ten years’ experience spanning real estate, agriculture, education, e-commerce, and technology sectors. Through Betteroffservice Advertising Agency, he has driven campaigns that generated more than ₦100 million in ad revenue for clients.

Josh’s impact goes beyond marketing expertise. With formal training in Non-profit, Public, and Organizational Management from Philanthropy University, he has infused BOSSA Academy with a mission to drive social change through education.

“BOSSA is more than a school—it’s a launchpad for anyone hungry to grow,” Josh explains. “We believe access should never be a barrier. We’re not waiting for the future—we’re building it. And we welcome others to join us in this journey.”

Betteroffservice Advertising Agency is widely recognized not only for its marketing successes but also for its dedication to economic inclusion via education. BOSSA Academy embodies this ethos by bridging business growth with social impact.

As BOSSA celebrates this remarkable milestone, it invites organizations that share its vision for scalable, meaningful change to partner in training teams, reaching underserved populations, and creating tailored learning solutions.

Together, BOSSA and its collaborators are building a stronger, more inclusive digital future for Nigeria.
