The Private Sector Health Alliance of Nigeria (PSHAN) has announced that its 2025 annual conference will take place on June 2, 2025, in partnership with World Health Expo Lagos (formerly Medic West Africa). This year’s event is themed:
“The Creative Catalyst: Driving Sustainable Healthcare Solutions in West Africa.”
According to PSHAN’s Managing Director, Dr. Tinuola Akinbolagbe, the conference will focus on the intersection of creativity, business innovation, and healthcare transformation. She explained:
“Nigeria’s creative industry is one of the most dynamic and resilient sectors today. This conference aims to leverage its success stories and innovative approaches to reimagine how we invest in and deliver healthcare solutions. We will explore how creativity-driven strategies can build a more responsive, scalable, and sustainable healthcare system.”
Dr. Akinbolagbe highlighted some of the ongoing challenges in Nigeria’s healthcare sector, including inadequate infrastructure, limited access to quality care, and persistent funding shortfalls.
“Despite ongoing efforts by both government and private stakeholders, the sector continues to face service delivery gaps, a high burden of disease, and inefficiencies that slow progress toward Universal Health Coverage (UHC).”
Conversely, Nigeria’s creative industry has demonstrated remarkable growth by attracting investment, scaling rapidly, and engaging wide audiences — establishing itself as a powerful contributor to the national economy.
“The PSHAN 2025 Conference will bridge these two sectors by fostering cross-industry dialogue among leaders. By drawing lessons from the creative industry’s success, we aim to inspire innovative models for healthcare investment, delivery, and accessibility,” she added.
Clifford Egbomeade, Head of Corporate Communications at PSHAN, confirmed the conference venue as the Landmark Centre in Lagos. He also shared key details about the event’s leadership and participants:
