Introducing our Keynote Speaker for the 9th FATE Annual Alumni Conference @mezuo_nwuneli, Managing Partner, @sahelcapital Agribusiness Managers Ltd.

Mezuo is the Managing Partner of Sahel Capital Agribusiness Managers, a food and agribusiness focused private investment firm investing across sub-Saharan Africa. Prior to founding Sahel Capital, Mezuo held roles at J.P. Morgan & Co., Ocean and Oil Holdings, and AFIG Funds.

He is a non-executive Chairman/Co-Founder of AACE Foods, a Nigeria based food manufacturing company, and co-founder/non-executive director at Sahel Consulting, an agriculture focused management consulting firm.

Mezuo also serves on the boards of the African Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (AVCA) and the Private Equity and Venture Capital Association, Nigeria (PEVCA).

He is also an independent director at Hygeia HMO Ltd and First World Communities Ltd. He is an Eisenhower Fellow and an Archbishop Tutu Fellow. He holds a Master in Business Administration (MBA) from Harvard Business School and received a B.Sc. in Industrial Management, with a minor in Information Systems, from Carnegie Mellon University.

Jerry Martins, Founder, @makandjayafrica.

Martins is an accomplished entrepreneur, market research professional, and renowned shoemaker with a passion for quality craftsmanship. He is a graduate of the University of Lagos and an alumnus of the @fateschool

Martins founded MAK & JAY Africa, a brand of handmade leather shoes committed to excellence, which has earned him several accolades in the industry. Martins is also a dedicated coach who enjoys helping others reach their full potential.

Uju Uzo-Ojinnaka,
Uju is a resourceful and result-oriented individual with over 23 years’ work-experience in Strategic Marketing, Retail Banking and Business Development. Over the years, she has developed both hard and soft skills in Credit Analysis, Negotiation, Human Relations, Project Management and Leadership.

Uju represented Nigeria in the Entrepreneurship World Cup (EWC) Global finals in Saudi Arabia in November 2019. After TOFA won the EWC in Nigeria. She was invited to Jack Ma’s eFounders Fellowship program in Hangzhou. A program coordinated by Alibaba and United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD).

Together with other panelists, she will be sharing from her knowledge and wealth of experience.

Peter Amadi is a seasoned banker with over 20 years experience in Operations, Risk, and Trade Finance. He is currently the Head of Trade Products at Union Bank of Nigeria. Peter is also a Certified Documentary Credit Specialist (CDCS) with the London Institute of Banking & Finance and has been involved in the Trade Finance sector for nearly two decades.
