The Miners Association of Nigeria (MAN), in collaboration with its partners, has announced its readiness to host the 2025 Nigeria Mining Week. This annual gathering is recognized as a catalyst for advancing discussions on the significance of mineral resources in driving national economic growth.
Last year, the Nigeria Mining Week attracted over 2,100 mining professionals, featured around 200 sponsors and exhibitors, included representation from more than 40 mining operators, and welcomed over 20 mining exploration companies.
Commenting on the upcoming event, Dele Ayanleke, President of MAN, noted that the continuous staging of this event is the result of a strong partnership among the Miners Association of Nigeria (MAN), PwC Nigeria, and the Vuka Group of South Africa, with the endorsement of the Ministry of Solid Minerals Development. According to Ayanleke, the event has established itself as the leading platform for shaping policy reforms in the national mining ecosystem, while also providing invaluable connections with the investment community for the economic exploitation of the nation’s mineral resources.
This conference and expo is set to take place from October 13 to 15, 2025, at the Abuja Continental Hotel.
Samukelo Madlabane, Event Director for Mining at Vuka Group, expressed excitement about the confirmed return dates for Nigeria Mining Week early in the year, allowing stakeholders ample time to prepare for what has become an annual tradition in Abuja. Madlabane emphasized the success of the Abuja Continental Hotel as the venue, stating it was an excellent choice last year and that the hotel met all expectations.
“We have always been privileged to have the official endorsement and support of the Nigerian mining authorities. With this trust comes great responsibility, which we take very seriously. Our commitment to the mining community is long-standing, and our team is already working hard to elevate this ever-expanding event, delivering a thought-provoking program and encouraging the mining sector to share their successes and lessons learned.”
Cyril Azobu, a Partner and Mining Leader at PwC Nigeria, commented, “We look forward to celebrating an extraordinary milestone as we mark the 10th anniversary of Nigeria Mining Week, which has evolved into the premier platform for stakeholders in the mining industry. PwC remains committed to driving innovation, excellence, and sustainability in the sector. We look forward to seeing everyone in October.”
