A fresh boost is coming for Nigeria’s small businesses as Keystone Bank Limited and the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) join forces to launch the MSME Mini Business Boot Camp. The initiative is designed to provide entrepreneurs with hands-on training, mentorship, and access to resources that will help them scale and compete more effectively.
The partnership was sealed on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at the LCCI headquarters in Lagos, where executives of both organisations, industry leaders, and the media witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
Speaking at the ceremony, Mrs. Olayemi Sule, Group Head of Retail and Digital Banking at Keystone Bank, said the alliance reflects the two institutions’ shared vision for enterprise growth in Nigeria. “Small and medium businesses remain the backbone of the economy,” she stated. “This collaboration is about giving them the tools, knowledge, and support needed to thrive and make lasting contributions to national development.”
Adding to her remarks, Mr. Gani Adebayo, Regional Head of Lagos Island at Keystone Bank, explained that the boot camp will bridge knowledge gaps and deliver practical solutions for entrepreneurs. “Our support extends beyond finance. We are committed to building business capacity and unlocking potential,” he said.
For LCCI, the initiative represents more than training. Dr. Chinyere Almona, Director General and CEO of the Chamber, described the boot camp as “a catalyst for entrepreneurial growth, enhanced competitiveness, and a key driver of Nigeria’s economic progress.”
She stressed that strengthening SMEs across multiple sectors will foster inclusive and sustainable growth, while also preparing a new wave of resilient business leaders.
Through the Mini Business Boot Camp, participants will benefit from workshops, mentorship sessions, and tailored resources that align with Keystone Bank’s ongoing focus on enterprise development and financial inclusion. Both institutions expressed confidence that the programme will help reshape Nigeria’s SME landscape by empowering entrepreneurs to innovate, adapt, and grow.
