The Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council (PEBEC) has renewed its promise to position Nigeria as a premier destination for global investment and commerce. Speaking at an awards event in Abuja honoring public sector excellence, PEBEC Director General Princess Zahrah Mustapha Audu highlighted the nation’s ongoing economic transformation, crediting intentional, data-driven reforms led by President Bola Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima.
Audu pointed to the January launch of the Regulatory Impact Analysis (RIA) Framework as a pivotal development, enabling more predictable and evidence-based policymaking. She noted that strong regulatory environments have been proven to boost annual economic growth substantially, citing global statistics.
Looking ahead to 2026, Audu reaffirmed PEBEC’s vision of making Nigeria one of the world’s most attractive and competitive markets for business.
Deputy Chief of Staff Ibrahim Hadija echoed this optimism, describing the event as a testament to Nigeria’s determination to create a business-friendly economy. He praised the measurable progress achieved under the current administration, which continues to simplify the daily realities for entrepreneurs, exporters, and SMEs.
The ceremony also celebrated public servants driving innovation and transparency, underscoring that with collective effort, Nigeria possesses the talent to achieve far-reaching reforms.
