The Nigeria Employers’ Consultative Association (NECA) has announced plans to host the 2025 edition of its flagship Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Fair on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at NECA House, Alausa, Lagos.
In a recent interview, NECA’s Director-General, Mr. Adewale Smatt Oyerinde, stressed the Fair’s role in bolstering Nigeria’s MSME sector. “MSMEs are the engine room of our economy. This Fair is designed to equip them with essential tools, knowledge, and networks for sustainable growth,” he said.
This year’s event will feature a keynote address by Mrs. Adenike Adeyemi, Chief Executive Officer of FATE Foundation—one of Nigeria’s foremost enterprise development organizations. Adeyemi’s address will focus on innovative strategies for ensuring MSME resilience and expansion in an ever-evolving economic landscape.
A central feature of the Fair will be direct engagements between entrepreneurs and major regulatory agencies. These sessions aim to clarify issues around licensing, compliance, taxation, and business registration, providing business owners with a clearer path through regulatory hurdles.
Under the theme “Galvanizing MSMEs for Economic Growth and Stability,” the Fair will gather financiers, technology experts, regulators, and industry leaders to deliver actionable insights and strategic advice. Entrepreneurs will also have opportunities to showcase their products and services, pitch to potential investors, and network with stakeholders from across diverse sectors.
The exhibition segment will allow businesses across different industries to present their innovations to the public, offering exposure and market access. Beyond exhibitions, the program is set to deliver practical sessions on business development strategies, digital transformation, funding opportunities, and market expansion—arming MSMEs with the resources needed to thrive in Nigeria’s competitive economy.
