The Nigerian Bottling Company (NBC) has partnered with Women in Management, Business, and Public Service (WIMBIZ) to support female entrepreneurship, including awarding a N1 million grant to pastry chef and entrepreneur Achiv Ngusurun.
In a statement, NBC announced the grant was presented to Ngusurun in recognition of her innovative business approach at the 23rd Annual WIMBIZ Conference held in Lagos. Ngusurun stood out during a competitive business pitch session, where she demonstrated the potential to drive economic growth through her entrepreneurial venture.
Ngusurun expressed deep gratitude for the support, acknowledging the significant role NBC and WIMBIZ play in promoting female-led businesses. “This grant will fuel my business’s growth and empower my journey,” she said.
Jolomi Fawehinmi, NBC’s Director of People and Culture, underscored the company’s commitment to advancing economic inclusion for women. “It is with immense pride and purpose that we present this grant to an exceptional female entrepreneur,” Fawehinmi said. “Supporting women’s success is not just a choice for us at NBC—it is a responsibility. When women succeed, they uplift families, communities, and entire nations.”
NBC emphasized that its partnership with WIMBIZ extends beyond financial support, offering valuable networking and learning opportunities for NBC’s female delegates and other young professionals. The event allowed attendees to engage with industry leaders, expand their networks, and gain insights to advance their careers.
WIMBIZ reiterated its dedication to being a leading platform for women professionals in Nigeria, fostering career development and providing a collaborative space for both emerging and established leaders.
