First City Monument Bank (FCMB) has launched a fresh application cycle for its SheVentures initiative, introducing interest-free funding support designed to strengthen women-led businesses and improve access to affordable working capital across Nigeria.
The financing package offers eligible entrepreneurs access to loans ranging from ₦500,000 to ₦10 million, depending on business size and category.
Under the programme, businesses applying through the standard funding category can access between ₦500,000 and ₦5 million, while enterprises operating in specialised sectors may qualify for financing between ₦5 million and ₦10 million.
Loan approvals are determined based on business performance, with applicants eligible for up to 50 percent of their average monthly turnover.
A key feature of the scheme is its zero-interest structure, eliminating traditional borrowing costs that often limit business expansion. The bank noted that all administrative costs are clearly outlined upfront to ensure full transparency for applicants.
Repayment plans are structured across four- or six-month cycles, allowing business owners flexibility to align repayments with operational cash flow and revenue patterns.
FCMB’s Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Yemisi Edun, said the programme underscores the bank’s commitment to building an inclusive financial ecosystem that enables women-owned enterprises to scale sustainably.
She explained that women entrepreneurs remain central to Nigeria’s economic productivity but continue to encounter funding limitations that restrict growth opportunities.
According to her, expanding access to affordable financing will help female-led businesses increase productivity, create jobs, and strengthen long-term business resilience.
Also speaking on the initiative, FCMB’s Group Head for SheVentures and Impact Segments, Nnenna Jacob-Ogogo, noted that high financing costs remain one of the biggest obstacles facing women entrepreneurs.
She said the zero-interest facility was designed to eliminate that challenge while helping business owners secure quick capital for expansion, operational continuity, and strategic investments.
The SheVentures proposition forms part of FCMB’s broader effort to support female entrepreneurship through tailored financial solutions, business advisory services, and capacity-building programmes aimed at improving competitiveness in Nigeria’s SME sector.
