The African Industrial and Development Conference and Awards (AIDCA) is set to host the finals of the Entrepreneurship Pitch Competition (EPC) in Abuja, Nigeria, in collaboration with SeedsPad, Qatar and Keystone Bank. The event will bring together the top 100 startups from across Nigeria, providing them an opportunity to compete for a total prize pool of 100 million Naira. In addition to financial support, participants will engage in business-to-business meetings with angel investors.
Finalists, selected from a pool of over 200 applicants via www.AIDCA.Africa, have already demonstrated their capabilities in national competitions and undergone comprehensive training at a global boot camp.
The EPC finals will be a highlight of the Global Entrepreneurship and Investment Summit, scheduled for July 21-22, 2025, at the International Conference Centre in Abuja. With the theme “Unlocking Nigeria’s Economic Potential: Harnessing Entrepreneurship and Investment Opportunities,” the summit aims to connect entrepreneurs with private equity firms, venture capitalists, family offices, angel investors, and other key stakeholders from Africa and beyond. The event will feature business networking sessions, exhibitions, keynote speeches, panel discussions, and the AIDCA Awards.
Adedotun Olaoluwa, president of Dotmount Communications and an organizer of the summit, highlighted the event’s potential to enhance Nigeria’s investment ecosystem. He expressed optimism that this initiative would build on the success of previous events, such as the Middle East Investor Expo, by fostering collaboration, innovation, and economic growth.
