The Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) has entered into a strategic agreement with Lonadek Nigeria Limited to expand professional training, mentorship, and entrepreneurial capacity for engineers across the country. The collaboration is designed to strengthen the talent pipeline, enhance industry-relevant competence, and position young professionals to play a greater role in national development.
The agreement was formalised at the NSE headquarters in Lagos, where senior leaders from both organisations underscored the importance of preparing engineers for emerging opportunities across key sectors such as energy, power, infrastructure, manufacturing, mining, oil and gas, and renewables. With more than 60,000 engineers distributed across 77 branches, the NSE aims to leverage this partnership to close persistent skills gaps and elevate the standards within the profession.
During the signing, the NSE leadership highlighted the organisation’s commitment to continuous capacity-building, emphasising that the next generation of engineers must be equipped with the technical depth, creativity, and ethical grounding required to drive innovation and job creation. Lonadek reaffirmed this vision, noting that engineers achieve the greatest impact when their skills are developed intentionally and aligned with areas where they can deliver measurable value.
Under the new agreement, both organisations will integrate NSE’s Continuing Professional Development framework with Lonadek’s industry expertise to create structured programmes tailored to market needs. The initiative is expected to deliver a more competitive, innovation-focused engineering workforce capable of contributing meaningfully to Nigeria’s socio-economic advancement.
