Uyo, the vibrant capital of Akwa Ibom State, has been chosen to host the 2025 Annual Marketing Conference (AMC) and National Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria (NIMN). The event is set to take place from June 19 to 21, 2025.
Mr. Idorenyen Enang, President and Chairman of Council of NIMN, revealed that this year’s conference will carry the theme “Leveraging ESG in Driving Value Across Generations.” Bringing together top marketing professionals, industry leaders, policymakers, academics, and students nationwide—and beyond—the conference will focus on embedding Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles into brand leadership, strategy, innovation, and business decision-making.
“AMC 2025 is designed as a convergence point for visionary marketers and thought leaders to engage in dynamic discussions that will elevate the marketing profession across Nigeria,” Enang explained. He also highlighted how the event will shine a spotlight on Akwa Ibom, showcasing Uyo as a hub for business, culture, and tourism.
The conference agenda is packed with enriching activities, including:
-
A Marketing Symposium themed Sustainable Marketing: The Future of Brand Leadership
-
The Annual Marketing Conference sessions
-
A Fellowship Dinner for networking and celebration
-
The Annual General Meeting and Elections
Attendees will engage in insightful panel discussions, workshops, and networking opportunities, while also experiencing the rich cultural heritage of Akwa Ibom through city tours, exhibitions, and authentic culinary delights.
Enang noted that hosting the event in Uyo reflects NIMN’s commitment to decentralizing professional engagements and promoting regional excellence. It also underscores the growing importance of sustainable marketing practices across the country.
“This gathering offers a timely platform for marketers to exchange fresh ideas, discuss emerging trends, and build valuable partnerships,” he said.
Inviting stakeholders from public and private sectors, academia, and the marketing community, Enang emphasized the importance of collective participation to make this conference a transformative milestone.
“We look forward to welcoming marketers from all corners of Nigeria to Uyo for an inspiring and productive conference that promises both professional growth and cultural celebration,” he added.
