United Bank for Africa (UBA) Plc, Africa’s Global Bank, will host a Knowledge Series webinar to educate small and medium-sized business owners on the new withholding tax regulations that took effect in 2024.
The webinar, titled “2024 Withholding Tax Regulations: A Focus on How They Impact SMEs,” will take place on Thursday, January 30, 2025, according to a statement from the bank on Monday.
As part of its ongoing capacity-building initiatives, the Knowledge Series is a regular seminar and workshop hosted by UBA, where industry leaders and experts share valuable insights on best practices for running successful businesses.
Speakers at the event will include UBA’s Head of SME Banking, Babatunde Ajayi, alongside financial analysts Adeyemi Adediran and Vincent Okoukoni from Anderson Consulting.
Shamsideen Fashola, UBA’s Group Head of Retail and Digital Banking, highlighted the significance of the webinar, noting that it will offer SMEs a crucial opportunity to understand the new tax regime, its implications for their businesses, and the broader benefits to the economy.
