As Nigeria continues to embrace the power of strategic communication, Nigerian Women in Public Relations (NGWIPR) is at the forefront, leveraging PR as a tool for business and leadership transformation. With great anticipation building, the 2025 edition of its flagship event, the Experiencing PR Conference, is set to make a significant impact.

Slated for March 19, 2025, at the Civic Centre in Lagos, this year’s conference carries the theme: “PR for Results: Innovative Strategies for Business and Leadership Transformation.” The event will unite industry pioneers, business leaders, and communication experts to explore how PR can fuel innovation, drive growth, and shape leadership excellence in Nigeria and beyond.

A Premier Gathering of PR and Business Leaders

The Experiencing PR Conference is an annual forum that brings together influential business executives, senior government officials, and seasoned PR professionals. The objective? To showcase the undeniable impact of public relations on business success and societal progress.

For the 2025 edition, an impressive lineup of speakers from Africa, the Middle East, and Europe will share insights, offering diverse perspectives on the evolving role of PR in shaping economies and industries.

Keynote Address by Jumoke Oduwole

A major highlight of the conference will be the keynote address by Jumoke Oduwole, Minister of Industry, Trade, and Investment. With the global PR industry projected to reach $24.5 billion in Europe and $29 billion in North America by 2029, the Minister’s participation underscores Nigeria’s commitment to leveraging PR to boost trade, investment, and economic diversification.

Speaking on the significance of the conference, Tolulope Olorundero, PR Consultant and Founder of NGWIPR, emphasized its role in amplifying business success, celebrating strong leadership, and promoting strategic PR investments.

“Repositioning public relations in a developing economy like Nigeria requires a unique approach. This year’s theme answers a key question—what tangible impact can PR have on my business or government ministry? We are bringing top-tier experts who will not only share results but also outline actionable strategies that attendees can implement,” Olorundero stated.

Paul Onwuanibe, CEO of Landmark Group, will lead a discussion on “How Industry Leaders Leverage Storytelling to Expand into New Markets and Maintain Competitive Edge.”

Industry Panel:

Renowned communication experts will delve into “Transformative Public Relations Strategies for Winning in Developing Markets.” Panelists include:

  • Israel Opayemi, CEO & Chief Strategist, Chain Reactions Africa
  • Victoria Uwadoka, Corporate Communications & Public Affairs Lead, Nestlé Nigeria
  • Kanyi Mwangi, Communications Director, East & West Africa, Mastercard
  • Ginikanwa Frank-Durugbor, Head of Communications, Lafarge Africa Plc

Moderating the panel will be Rosemary Otalor, Account Director, PR & Strategic Communications, APO Group.

Attendees will have the opportunity to gain direct insights from industry veterans in two dedicated mentorship breakout sessions:
