In a bold move to accelerate youth involvement in international trade, NEXHUB Limited, a leading force in Nigeria’s export ecosystem, is set to host a transformative export conference designed specifically for young Nigerians. The event, themed “Unlocking Export Potential,” is scheduled to take place virtually on April 25 and 26, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM daily.
NEX-GEN 2025 is more than a conference — it’s a strategic push to equip Nigerian youths with the knowledge, tools, and connections needed to tap into the trillion-dollar global export market, especially within the non-oil sector.
Training, Mentorship, and Opportunity
Speaking at a press briefing in Abuja, Deacon Babatunde Faleke, Managing Director of NEXHUB Limited, emphasized that the two-day event will feature:
-
Expert-led training sessions
-
Real-time networking opportunities
-
Actionable export guidance
-
Mentorship from industry leaders
Deacon Faleke described Nigerian youths as “the drivers of economic diversification” and underscored their pivotal role in shaping the future of international trade.
“Our youths are incredibly talented, but many are unaware of how to translate those talents into global trade opportunities,” Faleke said. “There’s a significant knowledge gap around non-oil export, and that’s exactly what NEX-GEN 2025 aims to bridge.”
Targeting Future Exporters
NEX-GEN 2025 will specifically target young Nigerians aged 18 to 45, aiming to educate them on:
-
What products and services can be exported
-
How to enter and thrive in global markets
-
Where to find opportunities for growth
-
Connecting with industry mentors and experts
Faleke stressed that now is the time for Nigeria’s youth to actively participate in economic development by embracing global trade.
“The world is open, and our youth must rise to the occasion. Exportation is no longer just for the elite; it’s for the bold, the prepared, and the informed,” he said.
Government Support
The initiative has received full backing from the Minister of Youth, Mr. Ayodele Olawande, who has officially endorsed the conference and authorized engagement with Nigerian youths nationwide.
“This endorsement is a strong signal of the government’s commitment to youth empowerment through international trade,” Faleke added. “We encourage every eligible youth to take advantage of this opportunity.”
