Nigeria’s job market is set for a significant transformation as HBG Technologies has officially launched the i-Serv App, designed to enhance job creation for artisans across the country.
This innovative digital platform aims to streamline service delivery, creating new opportunities for skilled artisans in various fields. According to HBG Technologies, the app provides a solution to connect artisans with consumers, offering a reliable and professional experience for both parties.
During the private launch event in Lagos, Ayodele Olawande, Nigeria’s Minister of Youth Development, emphasized the app’s potential for economic empowerment, particularly for the youth. He described i-Serv as more than just an app—it’s a movement designed to reshape the service marketplace and create scalable job opportunities for young Nigerians, both locally and beyond borders.
“This platform highlights the talent and determination of our youth, driving digital and financial inclusion, and opening doors to new job prospects,” Olawande said.
Michael Olamide, the lead at HBG Technologies, explained that the i-Serv App connects users with skilled professionals—ranging from electricians and plumbers to chefs, barbers, and makeup artists—via a seamless digital interface. With over 15 years of experience in global technology companies like Amazon Web Services, Olamide emphasized that the app offers a verified database of service providers, aiming to solve the common problem of finding trustworthy artisans in cities like Lagos.
“The app offers more than just job listings,” Olamide added. “Through the i-Serv Academy, artisans can access training, mentorship, and skill development programs that will help them elevate their expertise and compete on a broader scale.”
This technology-driven platform not only simplifies the job search process for artisans but also allows consumers to easily access vetted professionals. The i-Serv App is set to provide a more structured alternative to the informal service sector, boosting economic growth by creating new employment opportunities.
Now available for download, the app promises a reliable and efficient service experience for both artisans and consumers alike.
