Two of Nigeria’s leading indigenous energy companies, Heirs Energies Limited and Renaissance Africa Energy Company, have announced a strategic collaboration aimed at transforming Nigeria’s oil and gas landscape through innovation, synergy, and homegrown leadership.
The commitment was formalized during a high-level courtesy visit by Osa Igiehon, CEO of Heirs Energies, to the leadership of Renaissance, led by Tony Attah, Managing Director. This visit marked the first formal engagement between both entities following Renaissance’s recent transition.
A Shared Vision for Indigenous-Led Transformation
During the meeting, Igiehon emphasized the crucial role indigenous companies must play in shaping Nigeria’s energy future:
“We are happy to connect with Renaissance’s leadership and congratulate them on their successful transition. As indigenous firms, we have a duty to reimagine and drive the development of Nigeria’s oil and gas sector. Our mindset and approach will be different—rooted in Nigerian excellence and focused on rapid production growth.”
Heirs Energies’ CEO stressed the natural alignment between the two firms, describing the collaboration as a transformative opportunity to scale impact across the sector.
“Heirs Energies and Renaissance are closely linked—not just in vision, but in our commitment to sustainable progress. Together, we can reshape the energy landscape through innovation and production-driven strategies that position Nigeria as a global energy leader,” Igiehon added.
A New Era of Homegrown Innovation
In response, Renaissance MD Tony Attah expressed enthusiasm for the alliance, stating:
“We are pleased to engage with Heirs Energies as we work toward a shared vision for Nigeria’s oil and gas industry. At Renaissance, our mission is to drive value across the energy value chain, and working with like-minded indigenous players like Heirs Energies is key to achieving that.”
Attah reiterated Renaissance’s dedication to transformational change and increased local capacity.
