Top organizations including OCP Africa, Deloitte Africa, UNDP, UN Women, Nedbank, the Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa, the Development Bank of Southern Africa, and the Digital Cooperation Organisation (DCO) are set to headline the 11th edition of the Africa Women Innovation & Entrepreneurship Forum (AWIEF).
Scheduled to take place from October 30–31, 2025, at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC) in South Africa, the AWIEF 2025 Conference and Exhibition will bring together an inspiring mix of entrepreneurs, investors, policymakers, corporate executives, and development partners from across the continent and the diaspora. The two-day event will feature discussions, exhibitions, and collaborations focused on advancing women’s economic empowerment, leadership, and innovation in Africa.
Breaking Barriers for Inclusive Growth
This year’s theme, “Breaking the Barriers: Now More Than Ever,” underscores the urgency of removing the structural and societal challenges that limit women’s participation in business. The conference will explore pressing issues such as access to finance, digital transformation, sustainability, and policy reform, while spotlighting the resilience and creativity of African women driving change across industries.

The Opening Keynote will be delivered by Dr. Fatima Elsheikh, setting the tone for a high-impact event. Key sessions will explore AI and the Future of Work, Mobilising Capital for Women Entrepreneurs, Africa’s Green Transition, and Harnessing the AfCFTA for Intra-African Trade.
Meanwhile, the exhibition segment will feature cutting-edge innovations from SMEs, development organizations, and female-led enterprises across Africa. The conference will culminate in the AWIEF Awards & Gala Dinner on October 31, celebrating the achievements of outstanding women innovators and business leaders.
