SystemSpecs Holdings Ltd is positioning itself to compete in Nigeria’s rapidly expanding e-commerce market with a strategic rebranding of one of its subsidiaries, Deelaa, which will now be known as Whatadeal.
Whatadeal, a platform developed by the tech-driven company, aims to revolutionize digital commerce across the travel, events, and e-commerce sectors. This move follows SystemSpecs’ acquisition of Knit Technologies, further consolidating its industry expertise and cutting-edge innovation.
John Obaro, the Group Managing Director (GMD) of SystemSpecs Holdings Limited, emphasized the company’s commitment to technological excellence and customer empowerment. He highlighted that Whatadeal will offer a seamless, intuitive experience, providing unmatched value to consumers.
Obaro also announced the appointment of Fela Bank-Olemoh as the new Managing Director of Whatadeal. Bank-Olemoh will lead the company’s digital commerce initiatives, driving the growth of the platform that was originally launched as Deelaa in 2022. Initially conceived as an e-ticketing and marketplace platform, Deelaa catered to businesses and consumers alike.
According to Obaro, the transition to Whatadeal is much more than a mere name change. It represents a strategic shift towards creating a comprehensive ecosystem where customers can not only find deals but experience genuine value. “With travel, events, and e-commerce at its core, Whatadeal seamlessly integrates these services to create a streamlined, rewarding, and modern user experience,” Obaro said.
Fela Bank-Olemoh, the new Managing Director of Whatadeal, emphasized the platform’s commitment to making its vision of “better with us” a reality. “We’re not just about providing access to deals,” he explained. “We’re building an ecosystem that fosters engagement, trust, and long-term value for our customers. Whether booking a trip, securing event tickets, or shopping for essentials, our goal is to deliver an intuitive and rewarding experience that consistently provides the best.”
Bank-Olemoh, who previously served as Special Adviser on Education to the Lagos State Governor (2015-2019) and Senior Special Assistant to the President on Education Interventions (2019-2023), brings a wealth of experience in technology, marketing, and leadership. He played a key role in launching Knit Technologies’ innovative event listing and discovery mobile application. His unique blend of expertise is expected to drive Whatadeal’s future growth and expansion.
