Aspiring entrepreneurs focusing on climate technology and the circular economy now have a significant opportunity for expansion, thanks to the newly introduced Atunlo Green Earth Business Grant. This funding initiative is specifically designed to bolster the growth of high-impact companies dedicated to environmental sustainability.
The program, also identified on official materials as the Ayo Ogunlowo Business Grant, will award a sum of N3,000,000 each to two successful candidates who demonstrate readiness to significantly advance their existing sustainable solutions. The core purpose of this financial injection is to spur immediate action, provide critical support for early-stage implementation, and accelerate momentum within the field of sustainable innovation.
The foundation is actively seeking proposals from ventures involved in critical environmental sectors, including the development of renewable energy sources, resource reclamation systems, and sustainable manufacturing processes. Recognizing that obtaining capital remains a severe obstacle for emerging circular economy startups, especially amid mounting pollution and climate worries across African urban centers, the organizers are stepping in. The foundation clarified its strategy: “The Atunlo Green Earth Business Grant intends to bridge the funding gap by providing necessary capital and increasing exposure for enterprises poised to deliver substantial ecological and financial returns.”
Beyond the considerable N3,000,000 monetary award, recipients will gain several crucial advantages, such as enhanced capability for both production and technological integration, greater visibility within the burgeoning green enterprise sector, and structured opportunities to commercially scale their environmentally friendly innovations for broader societal benefit. The organization emphasizes that cultivating local expertise is paramount for constructing a financially resilient, green economy.
To qualify, applicants must already be operating a business within the climate-tech or circular economy space. A mandatory requirement is that the business must be formally registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), whether as a sole enterprise or a limited liability entity. All disbursements will be managed directly by the Atunlo Green Earth Foundation.
Innovative leaders possessing proven, scalable concepts are strongly encouraged to utilize this opportunity to amplify the impact of their environmental projects.
