The Edo State Ministry of Digital Economy, Science, and Technology, led by Commissioner Honourable Ogbeide Ifaluyi Isibor, has partnered with Intmax and Summit Systems ISSP to train top government officials on blockchain and cybersecurity. The capacity-building workshop, held on August 26, 2024, aimed to empower senior officials to leverage advanced technologies for economic development and digital transformation.
Keynote speeches and lectures from partnering companies covered topics such as blockchain simplified for the public sector, tokenization, and cybersecurity. The initiative resulted in the signing of an agreement between the Ministry and Intmax, granting Intmax a significant role in working directly with the Edo State Government.
This partnership focuses on capacity building within the state’s digital ecosystem, enabling Edo State to leverage advanced technologies for improved governance and service delivery. Honourable Ifaluyi Isibor emphasized the importance of adopting emerging technologies, noting Edo State’s leadership in e-governance and paperless administration.
The collaboration sets a new standard for digital transformation, encouraging other regions to follow suit, and demonstrates Edo State’s commitment to supporting blockchain innovation despite regulatory pressures.
