The Dangote Group has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening commerce and sustainable development by entering a strategic partnership with the Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) for the 2025 Abuja International Trade Fair.
The 20th edition of the fair, themed “Sustainability: Consumption, Incentives, and Taxation,” is expected to attract over 100,000 participants, including government agencies, multinational corporations, SMEs, and diplomatic missions.
According to Anthony Chiejina, the group’s spokesman, Dangote has consistently supported ACCI as part of its broader agenda to boost intra-African trade and drive industrialisation. He noted that the company’s president, Aliko Dangote, values the Chamber’s strategic role at the heart of Nigeria’s policy and diplomatic community.
Fatima Wali-Abdurrahman, Senior Adviser to the President of Dangote Group, highlighted that nearly all of the conglomerate’s business units will be represented at the fair — from sugar, cement, and fertilizer to salt, petroleum products, packaging, trucks, and automobiles. She also praised the Chamber’s “Buy Africa, Build Africa (BABA)” initiative, aligning with Dangote’s long-standing advocacy for local content and regional trade integration.
The partnership, ACCI President Chief Emeka Obegolu, SAN explained, not only boosts the fair’s visibility but also reinforces its mission of advancing green innovation, entrepreneurship, and sustainable industrial growth.
With Dangote Group’s involvement, the 2025 Abuja Trade Fair is positioned as more than a marketplace — it becomes a hub for business collaboration, investment opportunities, and Africa-led innovation.
