The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has officially announced the launch of its redesigned website today. In a statement by the acting Director of Corporate Communications, Sidi Ali, the bank revealed that the new site is now live, offering an enhanced user experience.
The CBN developed the website using a modern Web API powered by Microsoft .NET Core 8, ensuring faster navigation and a smoother user interface. The website features a completely in-house developed front-end and back-end design, with a variety of new content reflecting the Bank’s broader mandate. It is also fully optimized for mobile devices, ensuring seamless access across various browsers and platforms.
In October, during the 30th Nigerian Economic Summit, CBN Governor Olayemi Cardoso highlighted the bank’s efforts to revamp its website as part of its ongoing commitment to transparency and accountability. He emphasized that the new design will offer a more user-friendly interface, improve public access to information, and build stronger trust with stakeholders.
“We are committed to improving the flow of information at the Central Bank, making it more accessible and transparent,” Cardoso said. “This new website overhaul is a key part of our efforts to foster openness and accountability.
