The Bank of Industry (BOI) has donated relief materials to the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility initiative. In a statement released on Tuesday, BOI’s Managing Director, Olasupo Olusi, emphasized the bank’s commitment to supporting vulnerable communities and promoting inclusiveness across Nigeria.
Olusi noted that recent challenges, including natural disasters and economic hardships, have tested the resilience of many Nigerians. However, he emphasized that such times also present opportunities for collective strength and solidarity.
The donated relief materials, Olusi explained, are more than just an act of charity; they represent a reaffirmation of BOI’s commitment to ensuring no one is left behind. “Our ultimate goal is to rebuild, restore, and create a future where every Nigerian has the opportunity to thrive without fear of hunger, displacement, or uncertainty,” he stated.
Olusi encouraged Nigerians to continue looking out for one another, offering help whenever possible, and remaining hopeful in the face of adversity.
NEMA Director-General, Zubaida Umar, expressed gratitude for the donation, assuring the BOI team that the materials would be used to reach the intended beneficiaries. “We thank the board and management of BOI for this kind donation. The items will be utilized to support those in need, as envisioned by the bank,” Umar said.
