The Love For Change Women Foundation (LCWF) recently hosted its first EmpowerHER Entrepreneurship Workshop, a landmark event dedicated to the professional growth and communal support of young female entrepreneurs. With the theme “From Hustle to Legacy: Building a Business That Outlives You,” the workshop gathered women between the ages of 20 and 40 to transition their mindsets from short-term survival to sustainable, long-term success.
The day was structured around practical, expert-led sessions designed to refine business models, enhance financial literacy, and foster a spirit of intentionality in commerce.
Masterclasses in Strategy and Mindset
The event featured high-impact sessions from industry leaders who provided a roadmap for professional and personal development:
-
The Three Pillars of Wealth: Keynote speaker and global education expert Olamitoyosi Babatunde urged attendees to master the lifecycle of a legacy: making money, retaining money, and multiplying money. She emphasized that true success lies in creating enterprises that serve future generations.
-
Emotional Intelligence (EQ): Capacity development specialist Inyene Hadassah led a session on the “soft skills” of business. She taught participants how to leverage empathy and EQ to manage high-pressure situations and build lasting relationships with customers.
-
Strategic Planning: Attendees engaged in vision mapping exercises, moving beyond abstract ideas to create concrete business models that identified specific revenue streams and target markets.
Fostering Independence and Community
Modupeola Bello Olukoya, the founder of LCWF, highlighted that financial self-sufficiency is a prerequisite for female empowerment. She noted that when a woman has a reliable income, she gains the agency to make critical decisions for her family and her future.
Olukoya described the initiative as more than just a training session; it is a burgeoning movement of women who serve as each other’s resources, mentors, and support systems.
