Targeted at participants aged 9 to 15 nationwide, the mPulse Spelling Bee is a digital-first competition that promotes literacy, critical thinking, and comprehension skills among young people. Following the success of last year’s edition, which attracted over 30,000 participants, MTN is hosting the fifth edition of this exciting competition. This means anyone in this age group can engage in an intellectually stimulating activity from anywhere, joining thousands of others across the country!
Interested in participating? First, ensure you’re on the mPulse tariff plan. To migrate, sign up here or dial *344*1#. Participation will take place on the MTN mPulse website (mpulse.mtn.ng), and eligible contestants must register as students using a registered MTN phone number.
Participants should take the Practice Test Quiz as many times as they like and click on ‘Take Entry Stage’ to join the competition.

The competition consists of three rounds:
1. First Round: 10 spelling questions on mpulse.mtn.ng.
2. Second Round: 20 spelling questions for the top 1,000 shortlisted students from the First Round, also on mpulse.mtn.ng.
3. Grand Finale: An in-person event in Lagos, streamed live on mpulse.mtn.ng.
