Nigeria has no shortage of young people, however, with the ever-increasing rate of emigration, there is a shortfall in the availability of talents. A weakened curriculum that fails to teach practical business management skills, like business and data analysis, strategy, research and management, further exacerbates the issue. This absence of structured training affects many graduates as they struggle to transition into the corporate world, especially in strategy and business consulting.
To bridge this gap, Caladium Consulting has launched the Caladium Strategy Skills Academy: a structured, hands-on business training program designed to equip 1000 aspiring early-career professionals and experienced professionals seeking a career in, or switch to business strategy.
Two Tracks, One Mission: Closing the Strategy Talent Gap
The Caladium Strategy Skills Academy is kicking off with its first phase, which focuses on 1000 fresh graduates, NYSC members, and early-career professionals who want to develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and business analysis skills. In the coming months, Caladium Consulting will introduce a second track designed specifically for experienced professionals who want to transition into strategy consulting, help them refine their expertise, understand structured frameworks, and position themselves for leadership roles.
What the Academy Offers
The Caladium Strategy Skills Academy is a launchpad for future business leaders. Participants will gain real-world, hands-on experience in:
- Research & Data Analysis – Learn to analyze trends and make data-driven business decisions.
- Business Planning & Market Studies – Write compelling business plans and conducting feasibility studies.
- Strategy Frameworks & Execution – Master structured problem-solving techniques for real-world business scenarios.
- PowerPoint & Business Presentations – Build compelling business decks and master storytelling.
- Process Documentation & Mapping – Design and optimize business workflows for efficiency.
Through expert-led sessions by Caladium Consulting facilitators, case studies, and interactive projects, participants will walk away with practical skills that set them apart in Nigeria’s highly competitive job market.
“Our goal is simple,” says Ayo Bankole Akintujoye, CEO of Caladium Consulting. “We want to build a strong pipeline of young professionals and career-switchers who can analyze business problems, develop strategic solutions, and confidently compete at global levels. Nigeria has the talent; what’s missing is structured, hands-on learning. That’s exactly what we’re providing with this Academy. Others have tried to do it at costs that we find to be out of reach to the average Nigerian fresh graduate, and that’s why we are doing this for free. But the application requirements will be very steep, to ensure seriousness and quality. We want to build a pipeline of our Academy graduates that brands can trust.”
Who Should Apply?
The Caladium Strategy Skills Academy for fresh graduates & aspiring professionals is open to 1000 fresh graduates and aspiring professionals who meet the following criteria:
- A 300-level student, recent graduate, or NYSC member.
- Minimum of a 2:1 or upper credit in any discipline.
- Leadership experience in university, NYSC, or professional settings.
