In a major step toward global creative inclusion, Woof Studios Africa is set to lead a landmark session at the prestigious Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity this June.
The session, titled “Cracking the Code with Africa’s Creators,” will take place on June 17 at the Creators Rooftop within the iconic Palais des Festivals et des Congrès in Cannes. It marks a historic milestone—the first time a delegation led entirely by African creators will address the Lions Creators Forum.
This development reflects the increasing recognition of Africa’s influence in the global creative and digital economy. With a rapidly growing youth population, expanding digital access, and deep-rooted storytelling cultures, the continent is emerging as a vibrant hub of innovation in content creation and brand engagement.
The panel will explore Africa’s evolving role in shaping marketing narratives and creative trends across platforms such as TikTok and YouTube. Discussions will include how global brands can engage African creators in culturally meaningful, socially impactful, and sustainable collaborations.
Panelists will also address the unique potential of African creativity to produce campaigns that resonate globally while remaining authentic to local audiences.
The diverse panel will feature Nigerian food entrepreneur Ifeyinwa Mogekwu, South African influencer duo Cent Twinz, Ghanaian visual artist and digital creator Israel Apeti, and South African storyteller and entrepreneur Mpoomy Ledwaba.
Highlighting the significance of this session, organizers emphasize that this is more than just visibility—it’s a declaration of Africa’s creative autonomy.
Rather than waiting to be included, African creators are bringing their own stories, voices, and ideas to the world stage—demanding not just recognition, but meaningful collaboration.
As global brands look toward the future, aligning with Africa’s dynamic creative talent may be the key to staying relevant in an increasingly diverse and connected world.
