Business owners and entrepreneurs across Ogun, Oyo, Osun, Ondo, and Kwara States recently participated in an intensive business growth workshop aimed at equipping them with practical tools to scale and sustain their ventures.
The weeklong masterclass, part of the Business Empowerment, Sustainability and Training (BEST) initiative, provided hands-on guidance in key areas such as financial management, digital marketing, business planning, and sustainable practices for long-term growth.
Participants not only received expert training but also benefited from free business registration facilitated through the Corporate Affairs Commission, helping them formalize their operations and improve credibility in the market.
A representative from the organizing team emphasized the programme’s focus on inclusive business development, noting plans to expand its reach and continue offering more than just financial assistance—by including education and access to essential infrastructure.
Since its inception in 2018, the BEST initiative has empowered thousands of entrepreneurs across Nigeria, focusing on knowledge-sharing and strategic support.
Attendees shared how the masterclass provided a platform for networking with industry experts and peers, encouraging practical steps toward business expansion.
Jide Olaniyi, a small business owner from Kwara, remarked that he had limited expectations but walked away with a clearer vision and better understanding of digital tools. “I’m already seeing improvements in how I run my business,” he said.
In Ogun State, Patricia Simisola noted that the business registration support gave her the motivation to take her venture more seriously. “It was the push I needed to make my business official,” she explained.
Meanwhile, in Ondo, Ifeoma Ozoemena shared how the training bolstered her confidence. “Now I feel more certain about scaling up. I’m glad I took the opportunity.”
The initiative continues to support entrepreneurs not just in building businesses, but in laying foundations for sustainable economic growth across communities.
