PromoPrint Ventures Limited, a leading indigenous printing and branding firm, recently commemorated its silver jubilee in Lagos, marking not just a company anniversary, but a powerful tribute to Nigerian innovation and the enduring strength of local manufacturing capacity. The celebration, hosted at the Lagos Motor Boat Club, gathered prominent business leaders, clients, and key stakeholders to recognize the company’s quarter-century journey of growth and its dedication to world-class local production.
A Showcase of Nigerian Capacity
The event offered a retrospective exhibition, showcasing the company’s evolution, including its first printed T-shirt from the year 2000. Guests proudly wore custom-designed patterns produced on Funtau, an indigenous Nigerian cotton fabric, highlighting PromoPrint’s successful integration of local raw materials. Operating as a full-service production hub, the company manages all processes in-house, spanning graphic design, garment production, corporate gifts, and branded materials.
Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Mrs. Patricia Ojora, reflected on the challenges inherent in running a manufacturing business in Nigeria, but anchored the company’s success on her unwavering belief in local capability.
“I believe we should be able to do things well in Nigeria. We don’t need to always import,” Ojora stated. She added that PromoPrint succeeded by offering “peace of mind in a chaotic place,” emphasizing their commitment to reliability and consistency.
Ojora noted that the firm has effectively reversed skepticism about local quality, attracting clients who previously sourced printing services abroad by demonstrating that “we can produce good quality here.”
Strategic Future and Leadership Praise
PromoPrint is focusing on the future by heavily investing in technology, including artificial intelligence, automation, and modern production tools. Ojora highlighted the company’s current scale: “Our automated printing carousel can churn out 10,000 tees a day if needed,” demonstrating the firm’s capacity to serve large corporate clients.
The event featured strong commendations from Nigeria’s business elite:
