Issele-Uku, Delta State – January 2, 2026 – In a significant move to bolster grassroots security, Sheriff Deputies Limited today officially launched its landmark Secure Nigeria Initiative (SNI), a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program marking the company’s 25th Anniversary. The initiative kicked off with a donation of essential security equipment to the Issele-Uku Vigilante Group in Aniocha North Local Government Area, Delta State.
The ceremonial handover was led by the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Island Anyasi, at the Obi Palace of His Royal Majesty, Agbogidi Obi Nduka (MNSE, JP). The choice of Issele-Uku holds profound sentimental value as the hometown of the company’s late founder, Mr. Charles Anyasi, father of the current MD/CEO, symbolizing a legacy of service returning to its roots.

A Foundation of Support for Community Protectors
The donation package, designed to enhance the operational effectiveness and safety of local vigilantes, included:
· 20 pieces of Imported Raincoats
· 20 pieces of Imported Rain Boots
· 10 Cutlasses
· 20 Whistles
· 20 Reflective Jackets
· 6 High Beam Torch Lights
· 6 Medium-sized Motorola Radios
Speaking at the event, Dr. Island Anyasi stated, “The Secure Nigeria Initiative is born from our deep-seated belief that national security is strengthened from the community upwards. As we celebrate 25 years of Sheriff Deputies’ commitment to safety and security solutions, we are investing in the true frontline defenders—our community vigilantes. Honouring my father’s memory by starting this journey in Issele-Uku is both a personal privilege and a corporate duty.”
His Royal Majesty, Agbogidi Obi Nduka, received the items on behalf of the community, praising the initiative. “This generous and practical support from Sheriff Deputies Ltd. comes at a critical time. It will significantly boost the morale and capacity of our vigilant youth who work tirelessly, often with limited resources, to complement the efforts of formal security agencies. We are deeply grateful and see this as a model for corporate-community partnership in nation-building.”

The Issele-Uku event serves as the launchpad for the wider Secure Nigeria Initiative, which aims to execute 25 distinct CSR projects across the six geopolitical zones of Nigeria throughout 2026.
