A major domestic energy producer has launched a strategic distribution initiative aimed at streamlining how high-volume fuel consumers secure their stock. Under the newly introduced framework—part of a broader long-term industrialization roadmap—organizations capable of ordering at least 250,000 liters of gasoline will unlock specialized perks.
To ease liquidity pressures for industrial operations, logistics firms, and major distributors, the program offers complimentary product delivery alongside a 10-day window for credit settlement. This direct-to-refinery model is designed to bypass traditional middlemen, offering a more direct route for bulk buyers.
Phased Rollout and Economic Impact
The initial rollout of this commercial framework will target key economic hubs, including Lagos, Rivers, Delta, Kaduna, Ogun, and the Federal Capital Territory, with expansion to additional regions planned for future stages. By eliminating transportation fees for certified high-volume clients, the strategy aims to suppress the overall logistical overhead that frequently drives up retail fuel prices for end-users.
The program marks a significant operational step following the commissioning of the massive 650,000-barrel-per-day processing facility, signaling a deeper push into controlling downstream distribution.
A Green Shift in Supply Chain Operations
Beyond financial incentives, the logistics network is integrating sustainable practices by utilizing a growing fleet of compressed natural gas (CNG) transport vehicles. This shift aligns with a previously announced fleet expansion involving thousands of CNG trucks intended to displace traditional, high-emission diesel transport. By leveraging alternative fuel for its distribution network, the company aims to simultaneously lower supply chain bottlenecks and minimize its environmental footprint.
