Renowned diplomat and former Foreign Affairs Minister, Professor Ibrahim Agboola Gambari, has been celebrated once again for his exceptional contributions to global diplomacy, peacebuilding, and international relations. The prestigious honour was conferred on him at the 2025 African Public Relations Network (AFRPN) Annual Conference and Lecture, held at the Rotunda Auditorium, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Abuja.

- Nigeria’s Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations, New York
- President of the UN Security Council
- United Nations Under Secretary-General
- Joint Special Representative of the UN and AU for Darfur
- Chief Mediator in the Darfur conflict

His latest recognition was presented by the Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi II, in a ceremonial moment that highlighted Gambari’s unwavering dedication to global peace, multilateral diplomacy, and strategic communication.
