Building on a year of transformative dialogue, The Catalyst Symposium has announced a massive expansion for its 2026 calendar. Moving beyond its initial Nigerian roots, the platform—dedicated to nurturing the next generation of African visionaries—is set to touch down in 14 cities across the continent under the powerful banner, “Igniting Bold Actions.”

A Year of Continental Impact

Convener Arogundade Dolapo revealed that the 2026 series is designed to escalate the momentum gathered during the successful 2025 events. This year, the symposium evolves from a national gathering into a pan-African movement, making its debut in Ghana, Rwanda, Egypt, and South Africa.

The tour is strategically designed to run throughout the year, beginning in the Nigerian capital and culminating in the southern tip of the continent:

  • Q1 (Launch): Abuja (Feb) and Lagos (March).

  • Q2 (Regional Growth): Accra, Ghana (April); Akure and Osogbo (May); Kigali, Rwanda (June).

  • Q3 (Community Depth): Owerri (July); Kaduna and Kano (August); Cairo, Egypt (September).

  • Q4 (The Grand Finale): Benin and Asaba (October); Ibadan (November); and Cape Town, South Africa (December).

From Conversation to Concrete Results

While previous editions focused on the spark of ideas, the 2026 theme signals a shift toward decisive execution. The curriculum for the upcoming workshops and keynote sessions is built around three critical pillars:

  1. Sustainable Economic Growth: Equipping young entrepreneurs with the tools to build resilient, profit-driven ventures.

  2. Courageous Innovation: Encouraging leaders to tackle continental hurdles with urgency and creative problem-solving.

  3. Cross-Border Harmony: Promoting unity and collaborative development across Africa’s diverse ethnic and national backgrounds.

A Legacy of “Small Sparks”

Reflecting on the achievements of 2025—which saw highly attended sessions in Abuja, Lagos, Akure, and Benin City—Dolapo noted that the platform has successfully bridged the gap between seasoned industry experts and aspiring change-makers.

The 2025 series was credited with birthing numerous business partnerships and community-led projects centered on empathy-driven leadership. The 2026 expansion aims to scale these local successes into a continent-wide network of collaborators.

Joining the Movement

As the symposium prepares for its most ambitious journey yet, registration portals for the various city stops are expected to open shortly. The organizers are calling on entrepreneurs, innovators, and social architects to prepare for a year of “bold action” that aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
