Bauchi, Nigeria — August 10, 2025: Unemployed graduates and aspiring entrepreneurs in Bauchi State are being offered a rare opportunity to future-proof their careers, as the Office of the Special Adviser to the Governor on Youth and Entrepreneurship opens applications for a free 8-week digital economy training programme.

The initiative, titled “Reinventing Yourself with the Right Entrepreneurship Mindsets, Skills, and Tools in a Digital Economy,” is organised in collaboration with American Space Bauchi and supported by the United States Diplomatic Mission in Nigeria. Sessions will run from 1:00 PM to 5:30 PM WAT every Tuesday at the American Space, Prof. Iya Abubakar Community Resource Centre in Bauchi.

Targeting 200 unemployed graduates and early-stage entrepreneurs, the programme promises hands-on learning in key areas, including:

  • Entrepreneurship in the Digital Age

  • Personal Branding & Online Identity

  • Cybersecurity & Digital Responsibility

  • Lifelong Learning & Reinvention

  • Digital Economy Tools & Strategy

Participants will also benefit from expert-led mentorship classes, and upon completion, will receive two certificates — one from the U.S. Diplomatic Mission and another from the Bauchi State Office of the Special Adviser on Youth and Entrepreneurship.

“This is about building a generation of digital leaders, job creators, and global entrepreneurs,” the Office of the Special Adviser said in a statement.

Eligibility is open to graduates, young entrepreneurs, and digital enthusiasts who can commit to at least 80% attendance. The programme runs from August 12 to September 30, 2025.
